If you are preparing for the naturalization test, you should keep in mind that some of the answers changed after the last election. You will be asked to name certain officials and elected representatives. You don’t want to make a mistake and name an official who is no longer in office.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has provided this useful list of questions where the answers may have changed. Here are the answers or where to find the answer in your specific case.

Question 20: Who is one of your state’s U.S. senators now?

Assuming you live in California, you can answer either Dianne Feinstein or Kamala D. Harris. Both senators represent the entire state, so either answer is acceptable.

Question 23: Name your U.S. representative.

Unlike senators, members of the U.S. House of Representatives represent a single district. You can find your representative by entering your ZIP code in the “Find your representative” look up box in the upper right-hand corner of the House of Representatives’ website.

Question 28. What is the name of the President of the United States now?

This answer has not changed. You may answer Trump, Donald Trump of Donald J. Trump.

Question 29. What is the name of the Vice President of the United States now?

Again, no change. You may answer Pence, Mike Pence, or Michael R. Pence.

Question 39. How many justices are on the Supreme Court?

No change. There are nine justices.

Question 40. Who is the Chief Justice of the United States now?

John Roberts (John G. Roberts, Jr.) remains the chief justice.

Question 43. Who is the Governor of your state now?

Assuming you live in California, the answer has recently changed to Gavin Newsom.

Question 46. What is the political party of the President now?

President Trump is a Republican.

Question 47. What is the name of the Speaker of the House of Representatives now?

This answer has recently changed to Nancy Pelosi.
